Dolmans Solicitors is marking an important moment in the firm’s history as Adrian Oliver retires as Senior Partner after many years of dedicated service. Adrian’s contribution to Dolmans has been significant, both as a lawyer and as a leader, and his retirement gives us an opportunity to reflect on a remarkable career while looking ahead with confidence to the future.

During his time at Dolmans, Adrian has been known for his calm, thoughtful approach to legal practice and his strong commitment to achieving the appropriate outcome for clients. He has advised on complex and often sensitive matters with professionalism, care and sound judgment, earning the trust of clients and the respect of colleagues across the firm and the wider legal community.

Adrian has played a key role in shaping Dolmans as the firm it is today. He has been a generous mentor to colleagues, supporting and developing lawyers at all stages of their careers, and helping to foster the collaborative and supportive culture by which Dolmans is known. Under his leadership, the firm has continued to grow and strengthen its reputation, with consistent recognition in leading independent legal directories.

Justin Harris will become Senior Partner, while Peter Bennett will take on the role of Managing Partner.

Justin has been an integral part of the firm for many decades and is widely recognised for his legal expertise and strategic approach. He is known for handling complex matters with clarity and confidence, keeping clients at the centre of what he does. Justin’s work has been consistently recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers, reflecting the high regard in which he is held by both clients and peers. As Senior Partner, Justin will continue to support the firm’s lawyers and uphold the high professional standards that define Dolmans. Having served on the firm’s Management Board for 20 years, and as Managing Partner for 10 of those years, Justin is well placed to now lead Dolmans.

Peter steps into the Managing Partner role with extensive experience and a deep understanding of the firm and how it operates. Alongside his own legal practice, he has played a central role in the firm’s management and development, helping to guide Dolmans through continued growth and change. Peter’s work has also been recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers, particularly for his client‑focused approach and leadership. As Managing Partner, he will support on the day‑to‑day leadership of the firm, its strategy and ensuring Dolmans continues to deliver an excellent service to its clients.

Together, Justin and Peter demonstrate continuity, experience and a shared commitment to the values on which Dolmans has been built. Their respective appointments reflect the firm’s confidence in its leadership and its clear focus on the future.
