David specialises in personal injury litigation including disease and accident claims. David has extensive knowledge of deafness, asbestos related, repetitive strain and hand/arm vibration syndrome claims both in heavy industry and on behalf of local authorities and constabularies. He also deals with a variety of public liability claims including flooding and drainage. David has dealt with a number of high profile cases which include:

• David John Arscott & Others v The Coal Authority and Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council [2004] EWCA Civ. 892, Court of Appeal: restated the rule that any person threatened by floodwaters is entitled to take reasonable steps to defend his land even if this means that a neighbour’s land is flooded

David is a fluent Welsh speaker and advises clients from media and entertainment particularly in relation to defamation matters. David has advised television companies and Welsh language journals regarding proposed articles and stories. He has also advised local authorities in respect of defamation claims.
